Day 1 (continued again) - Lost luggage, 42 hours of travelling, but still going out :)

Flying into Ibiza from Madrid is a unique experience as the flight path takes you over the top of most of the island, but this joy was quickly washed away when my luggage wasn't on the conveyor belt. But I wasn't the only one with lost luggage so I wasn't too worried, more just annoyed.

But still, i'm not going to let this get to me and I'm still going out that night. Found a typical Spanish bar in the centre of Ibiza town to have a bit to eat before heading to Privilege nightclub. This has the world record for being the largest nightclub in the world (official capacity of 10,000 people), and it surely matches it's expectations, even though I was seeing DJ Tiesto (number 2 DJ in the world) he still put on one of the greatest shows I have ever seen, more like a concert than a night club. If you come to Ibiza, this event is a must see, great performer, great atmosphere, great music, what else could you ask for

Quick snack and drink before going out. I ordered only 1/2L Sangria, but it was closer to 1L

The first DJ booth when you walk into Privilege, which is above a pool, never seen this before

Another view of the pool

The start of DJ Tiesto's set on the main stage

Tiesto in person and on the big screen

If you don't know the words, just sing along with what's on the screen

One of the dancers behind Tiesto

The dancers were a spectacle in their own right to watch

You can see that Tiesto was enjoying this, and the crowd was loving it

Just in case you forgot where you were, here was a reminder

The light show was amazing to see

A group of dancers, there was no shortage of them

You have to put your arms in the air, except that's not my arm :P

Looking back at the crowd, gives you an idea of how big this place is

Another dancer inside the plastic ball above the first small stage

Looking from the back of the club towards the stage, I think there were 10,000 very happy people there that night

  2. Trust me Paul, she wasn't male, it wasn't the best photo of her, but the best dancers were at Amnesia nightclub, to use the word stunning would be an understatement :)
